Indulge in a taste of Italy with our exquisite charcuterie board, a delectable ensemble of flavors and textures that captures the essence of Mediterranean cuisine. Elevate your next gathering with this artful arrangement, garnished with fresh basil leaves, rosemary sprigs, and thyme sprigs for a truly Italian experience.

For the charcuterie board:

  • Assortment of Italian cheeses (such as Parmigiano-Reggiano, Pecorino Romano, Gorgonzola, Taleggio, and Fontina)
  • Assortment of Italian cured meats (such as Prosciutto di Parma, Salami Milano, Mortadella, Bresaola, and Coppa)
  • Olives (such as Kalamata or Castelvetrano)
  • Marinated artichoke hearts
  • Sundried tomatoes
  • Grissini (breadsticks)
  • Sliced baguette or Italian bread
  • Extra virgin olive oil (for drizzling)

For garnish:

  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Fresh thyme sprigs

  • Start by arranging a large wooden cutting or charcuterie board to assemble your charcuterie platter.
  • Begin by placing small bowls or ramekins on the board for the olives, marinated artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes.
  • Cut the cheeses into bite-sized pieces and arrange them on the board. You can crumble some cheeses like Gorgonzola and Pecorino Romano for added variety.
  • Next, thinly slice the cured meats and fold or roll them into attractive shapes. Arrange them alongside the cheeses.
  • Add the olives, marinated artichoke hearts, and sundried tomatoes into their respective bowls on the board.
  • Place grissini or breadsticks on the board. You can also include sliced baguette or Italian bread for variety.
  • Drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the cheeses and cured meats for added flavor and shine.
  • Garnish the charcuterie board with fresh basil leaves, rosemary sprigs, and thyme sprigs for a pop of color and fragrance.
  • Serve the charcuterie board as an appetizer or as part of a larger meal. Encourage guests to try different combinations of cheeses, meats, and accompaniments.

Enjoy your traditional Italian charcuterie board with an excellent selection of cheeses and cured meats! Note: Feel free to customize your charcuterie board with your preferred Italian cheeses and cured meats. This recipe serves as a basic guideline, and you can experiment with different combinations to suit your taste.
